Essential Duties and main responsibilities:
The accountant is responsible for the proper bookkeeping of CAF’s accounts, namely accounts receivable and payable.
With regards to Account Receivable, the Accountant is responsible for the proper invoicing within standard polices that reflect the payers’ requirements. He or she shall work with all staff to ensure fast and accurate billing.
As for Accounts Payable, He/She runs the entire accounts payable unit and records documents for payment. This entails ensuring that procurement documents are well in place and that the bills and invoices received are certified and paid promptly.
Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable:
Maintain up-to-date billing system and assure timely collection of monies due to CAF
Generate, send out invoices and follow up on collection
Assist the treasury manager to perform account reconciliations
Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities
Maintain accounts receivable customer files and records
Assure timely and accurate invoicing
Assure that the companies standard template regarding invoice sample is in place for every customer
Make recommendations to improve quality of invoicing and collection procedures
Following up all the duties entrusted by the Director
Accounts Payable:
Review and verify invoices and check requests of payments
Set invoices for payment and enter invoices into system
Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date
Responsible to prepare and perform all payments to match officials
Responsible to register all courses, tournaments & petty cash custody
