Service the customers in the cash counter area and to ensure efficient and friendly delivery of service.
Ensuring a smooth day-to-day running of the branch floor in terms of proper handling of cash and tellers, adherence to compliance regulatory requirements
1.Vault opening / closing, and ensuring that access to vault is registered and dually signed by designated staff. (under supervision of cash officer in charge)
2.Ensuring that the exchange rate board is updated first thing in the morning and on a regular basis. (under supervision of cash officer in charge)
3.Checking and balancing tellers cash GL, accounts / sundry accounts
4.Ensuring that all cash in excess of the approved branch overnight limits are properly reported / cash arranged for central bank deposit. (under supervision of cash officer in charge)
5.Ensure that area is adequately stocked with deposit slips, withdrawal slips, ATM envelopes etc.
6.Prompt and efficient action on all queries pertaining to the area (MAIL).
7.Ensuring that suspense dropped entry’s are investigated and rectified immediately. (under supervision of cash officer in charge)
8.Closing teller cash at the end of day. under supervision of cash officer in charge)
9.Ensuring that all related customers’ transactions are scanned through the appropriate folder.
10.Maintaining file and monitoring daily attendance / MIS / Branch closing cash position.
11.Ensure that all system related issued are promptly reported and rectified.
12.Ensure that all procedures, controls and policies are strictly adhered to.
13.Ensuring timely liquidation of all difference accounts & sundry booking. According to their benchmark(under supervision of cash officer in charge)
14.Escalate any major issue to the cash Officer for his interference & action.
15.May act as a back-up cash officer according to his performance and accuracy if needed.
16.Performs financial and service transactions for all customers (deposits, withdrawals. draft issuance, certified checks issuance, cashing checks, FX transactions) in an efficient and effective way.
17.Ensures the adherence of Central Bank local requirements and standard operating procedures.
18.Ensures the safety and soundness of customers’ and Citibank’s assets.
19.Is responsible for control and operating issues.
20.May train/coach Junior Tellers.
21.Actively delivers a superior customer experience.
22.Good experience in detecting any faked note.
