Description:
Manage information technology, Software development, Network and computer systems.
Plan, organize, control, Monitor and evaluate IT infrastructure, database and Software.
Manage the installation and support LANs, WANs, VPN, Firewall, network segments, Internet, and intranet systems.
Managing the implementation of Erp system.
Design, execute, utilize and maintain software applications (web & Desktop).
Lead the development of the billing system into different platforms.
Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems.
Manages and develops upgrades to the company’s telephone system.
Manages information technology and computer systems.
Plans, organizes, controls and evaluates IT and electronic data operations.
Manages third parties staff by training, coaching & evaluating their employees, communicating job expectations and appraising their performance.
Designs, develops, implements and coordinates systems, policies and procedures.
Ensures security of data, network access and backup systems.
Acts in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational development.
Identifies problematic areas and implements strategic solutions in time.
Audits systems and assesses their outcomes.
Preserves assets, information security and control structures.
Handles annual budget and ensures cost effectiveness.
Develop THE COMPANY’s corporate information and communication technology strategy and systems to support and proactively enhance THE COMPANY’s mission and core objectives.
Provide advice on ICT strategy development for other departments with ICT staff and teams that are outside of Corporate ICT.
Provide information communication and technology support and advice to top management on technological issues, MIS and Reports to facilitate strategic and operational decision making on critical technological issues.
Provide information communication and technology options and consultation with other ICT staff that may be part of other departments/divisions such as Planning & Development and Community Management.
Manage the implementation of THE COMPANY’s ICT communications strategy ensuring that the ICT infrastructure and systems optimization and meets the needs of business users while providing capability for future growth.
Management of People
Manages the activities of the IT Department.
Implementation of Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
Establishes the needs of all of the divisions / departments, develops service level agreements (SLAs) and obtains approval of such agreements.
Monitors responses to service requests, ensures the agreed up time agreements are achieved / exceeded.
Discusses results on a quarterly basis.
Will intervene occasionally for the resolution of complaints as required.
System and Service Upgrades
Manages the upgrading of systems and services which are driven by business needs, technology and / or obsolescence.
Manages the review of needs, controls the establishment of projects and project teams including the review and approval of business case scenarios.
Obtains CAPEX expenditure approval.
Manages and ensures the ongoing progress and completion of approved projects, including system testing and handover.
Cost Management
Monitors and controls expenditure against budgets.
Receives requests for expenditure from his team for unapproved services. Signs all invoices for payment (single signer for OPEX).
IT Inventory Management
Manages the IT inventory of assets (asset registry) in place, and the storage of spare parts in the department’s warehouse.
Plans asset replacement in accordance with company policies.
Is responsible for the purchase of all IT hardware and accessories for the company.
Develops and enforces standards.
Technology Awareness
Maintains an up to date awareness of IT and associated technologies in order to enhance performance.
This is done through site visits to current users, carrying out research, attending seminars and network participation.
LOW CREDIT LINE CREDIT CARDS
Presents proposals to senior management for new hardware, for systems upgrades.
Presents a business case in support of these recommendations and obtains feedback / approval.
IT Policies and Procedures
Develops and ensures the effective implementation of IT policies and procedures throughout Petromin.
Reviews and updates policies as required.
Job Requirements
Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems.
Expertise in data center management and cloud hosting management.
Hands-on experience with computer networks, OS, network administration and network installation.
Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems
Ability to manage team.
Hands on experience with Network Security principles.
