Head Of Business Process Management (Maritime & Logistics) required by Whitehall Resources on a permanent basis for our client based in Doha, Qatar.
Our client has chosen Oracle Cloud to drive a major Digital Transformation across all its core business operations and its subsidiaries. At the core of the transformation, our client is looking for talent to re-engineer its business processes that operates on the Enterprise Digital Platform. This is a senior position that reports to Executive Vice President of Maritime & Logistic (M&L) business. He/She will be working with leaders from all facades of the business unit, to identify performance blockers, and resolve it through process design and continuous improvement.
Key Requirements:
– MBA or Relevant business degree in Process or Supply Chain Management
– 10+ years of experience in shipping and logistic industry, with significant exposure in operations or process management
– Globally recognized certification on Process Improvement Methodology or Framework (Preferred)
– Experience in operating Oracle Transport Management System (OTM) from business operations (Preferred)
– Excellent planning and organizational skills. Ability to work in small high-impact team settings in a results-oriented, project-driven environment, prioritizing projects and delivering quality results within tight timeframes while keeping a strategic clarity of sight
– Excellent relationship building skills. Ability to effectively influence key decision makers at all levels of management. Collaborative mind-set when engaging cross-functional teams and outside stakeholders
The primary objective of the position is to drive the performance of Transportation business processes.
– Business Process delivers the business result intended (process is capable)
– Competency of business processes within the business unit and organization
– Governance and Compliance of the business process within the business unit
– Implementation of business processes in IT system (Transportation Management System)
Key Responsibilities:
– Diagnosing current process/service performance failures and opportunities for improvement
– Structure, manage and drive Projects and Program management within M&L (initial focus on ERP transformation and Oracle OTM implementation)
– Building understanding, commitment and support for new processes
– Driving continuous process improvement throughout design and implementation
– Implement and drive Performance management for M&L through KPIs, reporting structure and tools
– Ensure business processes designed in accordance with all relevant legal, regulatory and any other standards and requirements to which compliance is required
